Brothels of thought
Music theatre show with songs and monologues by Giorgio Gaber and Sandro Luporini, in collaboration with Paolo Dal Bon.
Brothels of thought is a music theatre show, with songs and monologues by Giorgio Gaber and Sandro Luporini, performed in December 2017 in collaboration with Paolo Dal Bon — President of the Fondazione Giorgio Gaber.
PART 1 — Paolo Dal Bon
In this introductory part, the president of the Fondazione Giorgio Gaber recounts, in the form of an interview, the artist and friend Giorgio Gaber, also using video materials selected by the Foundation specifically for this purpose.
PART 2 — L'intenzione del Volo
On stage, the trio "L'intenzione del Volo" performs songs and monologues by Signor G.
The central theme is the power of information, or how the evolution of media tools and forms is substantially modifying today's society and human relationships. As usual in Gaber's work, the language is sharp, provocative, ironic and at times grotesque, but profoundly intelligent and never banal. The trio ventures into addressing songs that are also very complex from a musical point of view, backed by two experienced and competent musicians, but capable of experimenting and pushing always "beyond the beaten path."
This work intersects with the experience of the Fondazione Giorgio Gaber, whose main goal is the dissemination of Signor G's work, especially among a younger audience.
Andrea Faccioli: voice
